The UK, the EU, and various EU countries maintain regulation requirements for Back of Pack Labels. This applies to most packaged food products sold in the UK and EU. These labels must show per 100g nutrition information for energy, fat, saturates, carbohydrates, sugars, protein, and salt. They may also show per serving nutrition information.
None of the regulations require a specific format. NutriCalc presents the information in simple text columns.

A special note on Rounding Rules
Regulations require nutrition data to be rounded for simplification and ease of understanding.
- For energy, round to nearest whole number
- For salt, round to nearest hundredth for values between 0 and 1. Round to nearest tenth for values greater than 1
- Other nutrients, round to nearest tenth if value is between 0 and 10. Round to nearest whole number if value is over 10.
