Why is Manual Resizing important?
Regulations are specific about the minimum font size allowed on the labels. If you download a label that is too large and resize it using an image editing software, it will size proportionally and could result in a non-compliant font size. To remedy this, we are giving you the ability to size the label onscreen and we won’t allow you to go under the smallest legal font size or narrower than would be feasible. The resize is horizontal only, since height depends on the amount of nutrients.
How to Manually Resize the USA Label
Select the recipe.
- Open Labels.
- Select USA Labels.
- Two options:
- Click the vertical ellipsis in the upper right of the USA Label window and select Edit.
- Click on the pencil icon to go directly to the Edit Page
- Select the Resize button.
- Adjust the width by grabbing the edge of the label and dragging it left or right. Notice: The width and white space increase/decrease while the font size remains the same. We recommend that you size your label here, as close to the desired printed size as possible, before downloading. Then you will want to size the label proportionally using your image-editing software.
- When an adjustment has been made, a green pop up will appear in the upper right of the window.
