Any food container that holds 2-3 servings per the RACC (Reference Amount Customarily Consumed) must display a dual column label showing the nutrition information for one serving of the product and for the entire package. An example of this is a package of 3 bagels. The first column will show the nutrition data for one bagel (one serving) and the second column will show the nutrition data for the entire package.
To Create a Dual Column Label
Select the recipe.
- Open Labels.
- Select the USA Label.
- Under the Format dropdown, Select Dual Column: Per Container
Enter the gram weight or metric volume for the second column and click Generate Second Column.
This is an example:
This label can be edited, via the vertical ellipsis or the pencil icon in the pop up window, as the standard nutrition facts label, if preferred, with some specifics:
- Edit Column 1 is where the label header and any first-column nutrients can be modified.
- Edit Column 2 is where both column headers and any second-column nutrients can be modified.
Once the edits are completed, the label may be exported.
Note: This label may be used to voluntarily display two different serving sizes for the product.
