NutriCalc's Mexico Label complies with regulations for packaged food sold in Mexico. It is available in two different formats.
- Standard
- Dual Column
The regulations spell out which nutrients have to be listed and in what order. They do not specify layout parameters. We have designed the labels to be easy to read and understand.
Standard
The standard label displays the required nutrients for 100g of the food product.
To create a Standard label
Select the recipe
- Open Reports.
- Select the Mexico Label card.
For this example, we will select Format: Standard.
- This label requires energy declaration per container. Enter that amount in the Container weight/volume field.
- Click on Generate Label.

Dual Column
The dual column format can be sued to display the nutrient breakdown for 100g of food and for another amount. This will most often be a serving size or the entire container. label displays the required nutrients for 100g of the food product.
To create a Dual Column label
Select the recipe.
- Open Reports.
- Select the Mexico Label card.
For this example, we will select Format: Dual Column.
- Enter the container amount in the Container weight/volume field.
- Enter an amount for the second column weight/volume.
Note: If you previously entered a serving size for this recipe on the Details page, that amount will pre-populate here. - Click on Generate Label.

Export or print your label or the data
With the label onscreen, open the vertical ellipsis in the upper right portion of the Mexico Label card and select from the available options:
- Copy Text to Clipboard This copies the text of the label elements to the clipboard. The text can be pasted into a word-processing document or spreadsheet.
- Copy Image to Clipboard This creates a static png version of the label image that can be pasted into a variety of documents or web pages.
- Note:This is not a high-resolution image and should not be used directly on printed packaging.
- Print This opens a standard print dialog from which a hard copy may be printed as a pdf.
- Save As Image This creates a png image of the label and saves in your download folder.
- Note:This is not a high-resolution image and should not be used directly on printed packaging.
- Export To PDF This creates an editable vector pdf of the label that can be opened in ta vector-editing program, like Adobe Illustrator.
